The Solution :
Pascoe’s identified the Manufacturing System as a cost effective solution that would be able to successfully satisfy their requirements.
The Manufacturing System could be implemented to integrate with their existing accounting software, and allow for standard bills for streamlined data entry of manufacturing information. They were also able to change bills on an as required basis and more effectively manage production costs.
Rather than entering a work or manufacturing order at the start of the manufacturing process, the Manufacturing System allows back flushing to let Pascoe’s enter what was produced upon completion of the manufacturing process. The system then automatically back flushes all the resources that went into producing the order, including labour and machine time, effectively reducing tedious data collection.
Costs recorded in the Manufacturing System can be continually updated as and when raw material prices change. Once entered or modified, this information is available throughout the system and can assist with key business decisions
